FishFig — stocking, licenses, and waters in one place.
FishFig aggregates U.S. fish stocking across all 50 states, explains fishing license fees and size/bag limits with the legal citation, and helps you find public lakes, rivers, and coast near you. The cross-state stocking intelligence layer — one view across every state agency — is exclusive to FishFig.

Why FishFig exists
Generic “best fishing spots” pages and single-state PDFs can’t answer the questions traveling and local anglers actually have: how does stocking compare across states, what will my license cost this year, and where is the nearest public water? FishFig unifies those three answers with source-cited data, and its cross-state stocking intelligence is a moat no competitor duplicates.

Frequently asked questions
Is FishFig a license seller?
No. FishFig is an intelligence layer. Buy licenses from your state agency (linked on every regulations page).
Why do some states say “data pending verification”?
We only publish a number when we can cite its source and year. Unverified states are flagged rather than guessed.
Does FishFig cover Canada or Mexico?
Canada is now covered as a separate subtree at /ca/ (13 provinces/territories; Ontario, BC, and Alberta verified for 2026, the rest link to the agency). Mexico remains out of scope. U.S. and Canadian content are kept in separate sections because their copyright and licensing frameworks differ.
Is the cross-state stocking view really unique?
Yes. No competitor aggregates 50-state agency stocking into one comparable dataset the way FishFig does.
